Kandinsky

In the final years of her life, Rowena turned to a body of work inspired by Wassily Kandinsky, and the house seemed to fill with colour and light. These paintings were not studies but celebrations - joyful, intuitive responses to Kandinsky’s language of form and rhythm -where colour sang freely and composition felt alive with movement. They carry a sense of freedom and delight, as though abstraction itself had become a place of play, optimism, and love - affirmation for a life well lived.
